About Me

https://au.linkedin.com/in/peterslattery1 - this is my linkedin

I see myself as a nice person, with a good sense of humour, who talks a lot. I also like a deep conversation and wear my heart on my sleeve. I don't really take myself too seriously :)

My philosophy for life is to do the most good I can do while being sustainably happy. I can tell you all about it if you want!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to connect with new people.

Interests

I am a curious person who is unusually interested in learning about new people and cultures.

My research interests are on behavior change to benefit society.

I am comfortable with topics of conversation that range from computer games to MMA and activities ranging from camping to playing cards.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a wide range of music, including a lot of crap stuff.

I like relatively few movies. I don't usually watch too much TV.

I like a lot of books. I probably read Science Fiction and Fantasy books the most, but I also like biographies and histories.

I recommend reading Behave by Robert Sapolsky and If This Is a Man/The Truce by Primo Levi, if you are looking for book recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on live TV a few times. It was intense!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about persuasion, behaviour change, effective altruism and sleeping in a hammock.

I tend to know a little about most things and I am usually keen to discuss and learn more.

I can amuse you with stories about my many humorous incidents and mistakes.

What I Can Share with Hosts
