Hello and welcome to Wilmington! We hope you enjoy your time here.

So, a little bit about us, we are a pretty laid-back partnership who, after bicycling around the US for a couple years, decided to settle down in Wilmington. We've been here almost two years now and really love the city. Hosting has provided us with a great opportunity to give back to this community and explore our city in new ways. It is strange how easy it is to stop exploring your hometown. Whether it is a pint of beer at a bar, hiking in the nearby nature parks, or walking along the waterfront downtown, we love to show our city off.

Unfortunately, we do both work (womp, womp) and can't always explore with our guests but our home is generally open to those who need it. We currently have a spare bedroom that allows some privacy from our pets (a dog and a cat) and a little buffer from the noise we create in the morning (our workday sleep schedule is about 10pm - 6am). We also have a couch and an air mattress if more room is needed, but those are in a common area so privacy is a little more difficult.

Our pets are both friendly with people and other animals, but they have the run of the house. They generally stay out of the guest bedroom but if you have a serious pet allergy then our home probably isn't a good fit, but please let us know if you want to meet up and share adventure stories. We like doing that as well when we have time.

Also, our home is a safe place for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, nationalities, race, and any other identities. As long as you don't want to harm anyone or restrict their freedom then we are cool with you.

Couchsurfing has been an almost universally pleasant experience. We've met some fantastic people who became close friends because of the community created here.

Peter right now is primarily interested in the field of psychology and other healing arts. He wants to work towards assisting families and individuals at the end of life. He has begun the training process to be an End of Life Doula and plans on going back to school to become a massage therapist that focuses on touch for those at the end of life. His dream is to run a business that helps ease the dying process through doulas, massage, therapy, using MDMA and psychedelic substances, and helping people die in the way they wish.

Anna is interested in plant-based nutrition and health, particularly how our diet can help prevent disease. She is an amazing cook and baker who would love to open a coffee shop/bar/cafe to put her skills to use. Currently, she works at an animal hospital where she gets to hang out with dogs and cats and must resist the urge to adopt all the rescue animals.

Getting married at Burning Man, biking the Redwoods, the Iron Horse Trail in Washington, riding in the World Naked Bike Ride (twice!), spending about two years cycling around the US, RAGBRAI, hiking around Iceland, and a ton of other things!

Our travels have made us fairly competent in bike repair, camping tricks, and travelling for cheap. We will gladly share what we know.
