About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have some guests and party with them :D

ABOUT ME

Hey!
My name is Peter, I'm studying germanistik in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. Since I was a little child, I love travelling. In my childhood my parents travelled a lot with me (in an old Volkswagen bus), so travellin is in my blood.
I like to make new experiences, meet interesting people, to share our thoughts and ideas about life. It's very interesting, that people in different country have another point of view.
Nowadays I work as a help in an open-air café/club, and also I ride a rickshaw to make some money :D.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I get in touch with CS after a friend told me about it. So I made a profile, just to see how things work. At first year, I hosted 2 times, and it was a very good experience and a lot of fun. I'm very thankfully to meet a lot of people trough CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several times - and it was every time really nice. I wondered how easy you can get some guests. I feel very proud, when I can show Budapest to guests. It's also nice to get involved in a country you just know on the overground.

Interests

Sports, music, having fun with friends, reading books, photography, watching movies. I like to travel, to walk in cities I'm never been there before, I like to paint unuseful things; playing with Photoshop.
I like to experiences new tastes, so hosting was also a culinaric experience, and for the guests to trying "pálinka" (hungarian shot-drink made of fruits - like "schnaps")and trying traditional hungarian dishes was also a nice experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films by Tarantino, Rodriguez, Scorcese, I also liked Heat, Heaven, Before Rain. Sometimes I like to see the cream of b-movies, slasher horrors - it doesn't matter, just be so bad as it can be. Oh yeah as a little kid me and my brother watched a lot of WS Teleshop with Horst Fuchs, so I think that's why I'm so resistant against bad films. Books of Remarque and Hemingway, I enjoy the realistic romans such as from Dostojevskij or Stendhal. Music: all kind of music, mostly alternative rock, but I listen to anything (f.e. oldies, Prodigy, Bonobo, dub and minimal, indie rock, etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been on a snowy mountain in July as a little kid. My father had driven us in Switzerland up to a mountain, just to play with some real snow in summer.

Teach, Learn, Share

Maybe I can teach you about Hungarian history and political situation :).
