Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm an electrical engineering student and want to do what a lot of people do after school - or university/college - 'exploring the world' in my semester breaks. I'm always open to new experiences and would love to know about the local culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It seems like a great idea. You just become so much more immersed in the culture. It's a great opportunity to make friends, and get to know people that know where the 'good spots' are instead of stumbling into completely random places which might be good or bad. Should my housing situation allow it, I'll definitely host people too.
Interests
I'm always open to experience new things! I'd enjoy to know what you like, and to try it myself.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like a broad range of things, and am always open for something new! If I had to pick 2 favorites for each category though, they would go about this way:
Music
Black Sabbath
Louis Armstrong
Movies
Fight Club
Lord of the Rings (I'd list Game of Thrones here - but that's not a 'movie' officially)
Books
Die Physiker by Dürrenmatt
Brave New World
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, not done, but experienced: Live movie concerts. Lord of the Rings, Interstellar, Gladiator - the orchestra, which is touring the world, plays those concerts in the KKL in Luzern, and it's just an amazing experience. The movie plays as the orchestra plays the soundtrack to it live. It's the best of cinematography combined with the best of music.
I also was in the front row for Black Sabbath's last concert in Zurich.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoy learning from people of other cultures, be it languages, traditions or anything else! I'm also looking forward to sharing Swiss culture with you, should you want to learn about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll make friends and hang out with you - should you want that. I'll tell you about Switzerland - if you want to learn German (or Swiss German, if you want to learn how to say "Chuchichästli") I can help you with that - I am eager to learn languages myself. I am totally fluent in English, which should help with communicating. I can also fix any electrical or computer problems you're having while we're at it. Trust me, I'm an engineer. ;)
