About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to experience as much of the world as I can while I am travelling and learn more about myself.

ABOUT ME
What can I say? I am 27 years old, I have just finished a 6 month contract in Cambodia managing to 2 hostels in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. I am slowly working my way around the world. I love meeting new people and exchanging stories. I love a cup of coffee or 2 in the morning and nothing beats that feeling when you step of a plane, train or bus into a new country and that feeling of excitement and curiosity.

PHILOSOPHY
The first step is often the hardest. So take a leap of faith and see what happens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet local people where I am traveling to and learn about local cultures and customs.

Interests

My main passion in life is travelling, I have been very fortunate to travel as much as I have done, it is a blessing to grow up in an environment which has given me many chances and possibilities. I like to get off the beaten track if that is hiking unknown trails wondering what is over the next hill. I love playing Rugby and wish I had more time to do so. Avid reader mainly fiction but nothing beats a good cup of coffee and a book.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music at the moment is Xavier Rudd, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men. Movies I am more than happy to sit down to any movie except horrors not a big fan of them. My favourite books are the Riftwar Cycle by Raymond E Fiest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't take credit for all of this. But when I was running a hostel in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The hostel ran a culture tour and this tour included going to a locals house in the countryside. These people very generously provided with traditional food and we pay them for the privilege to do this. After several months of doing this tour, the Grandma of the house took me to the toilet which was at the end of the garden. It had been completely renovated with proper drainage system amongst other things and the look of happiness on that lady face was amazing and it was all because we gave her a small amount of money to allow us to bring guest to her house.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my past experiences of travelling to different countries and hosting people in a hostel environment, I am always trying to learn new things and development and great way to do that is visit locals in different cities/countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am more than happy to cook a good English meal or share a bottle of wine, I am pretty easy going.
