About Me

Kirsten and I are likely traveling together or would be hosting you together.

We are clean, friendly, creative and flexible. Open to travel ideas and sharing stories but never rely on our hosts to entertain or clean up after us. We practice leave no trace couchsurfing ;)

We are both creatives and entrepreneurs who split our time painting, growing our natural toothpaste business and enjoying nature and the outdoors.

While traveling we enjoy beautiful beaches, delicious food and rich culture. Botanical gardens, galleries, museums, local hangouts and obscure shops all make our list when venturing into a new area of the world.

I’ve been couchsurfing for over 13 years and many of my references and experiences didn’t transfer over in an update a few years back. What’s left is visible under “Personal” references.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couchsurfing from one of the founding members and thought the concept was both brilliant and natural.

Through couchsurfing I have found and met my global family that sees people as people and invites them in. I have been enriched deeply through my experiences traveling with friends met here. Through couchsurfing I’ve experienced a closeness to the authentic culture of a place one can never get while staying in a hotel room.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was amazed with Africa. While working for three months in a woodshop in the jungle of Nigeria, I witnessed a way of life I never new existed.
