About Me

I am incredibly easy going which I hope would make for a great couch surfing guest but I suppose the host would be the judge of that. I'm 28 and still searching for my true calling. In the meantime I just hope I can see as much of the world as I can. I like to just relax and chat about past experiences, philosophies and interests. I like to meet people from all over the world and understand their background and upbringing. Everyone has a story to tell. I love to play music and am fascinated in using songs for storytelling.
Food is great too.
As soon as is convenient for me I would like to host couch surfers in my home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One thing I have learned while travelling in south east Asia is that as a tourist it is far too easy to fall into a routine of googling the cheapest hostels, the most popular thing to do on TripAdvisor and hence missing out on really getting to know a country or city and it's people. Couch surfing is a fun and exciting way to really get under the skin of the culture and food etc. It's the people of the location that make it great and there are some great experiences to be had by meeting people and being just a little open minded.

Music, Movies, and Books

Loads of alt. Rock bands
Symphonic Rock
Game and film soundtracks
Classical
World Music

My philosophy on music is that there are no bad genres. Every genre has both bad and good contributions, you just gotta sift through and filter them.

Not a massive film buff but I like anything with a well told and meaningful story behind it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago, because of my science related degree choice I was asked (after being signed up by a friend) to go on a tv show called 'Geeks'. The aim of this reality series was to show that geeks are not all reclusive and to break the stereotype. The episode was a huge success and was broadcast on Channel 4 in the Uk, and has since been aired in Australia and possibly other countries.
