Traveling with my girl friend around South East Africa before going to South America.

ABOUT ME

Two years ago I met my Hong Kong girlfriend and current travel partner while we were traveling Asia, shortly after that I moved in with her and her family in Hong Kong. Now we have saved up enough money to travel again!

Still new to this website but people we have met keep telling us we should try it to see a new side to the countries we visit and give couch surfing a go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have met lots of really nice and interesting local people who are often are the highlight of our trips. Couch surfing seems like a great way to get that experience.

Interests

I enjoy card and board games, trekking, climbing and trying new things and having new experiences.
We enjoy discussing politics (my girl friend has quite strong views on the Chinese government).
I like interesting facts (QI the tv show or Sci Show the youtube channel)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite Author is Sir Terry Pratchett but I like reading quite a lot of different books. In my travels I have used book swaps many a times which are great because they force me try something I wouldn't normally pick.

Chosing to go traveling!
Rode Trans Siberian Railway.
Star wars themed night bus in Japan
DMZ Zone in South Korea
Climbed mountains sleeping in Monasteries in China
Joining a local full moon festival at the top of a mountain in Nepal
Was a movie extra in India (film still not out!)
Spent 10 days meditating without speaking in India
Left Macau casino's with more than I entered with both times I visited!
Lived with a Chinese family for 6 months learning to adapt to new norms.
Snorkelled with Turtles in Indonesia
