ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Seoul, South Korea, currently studying medicine in Kansas City, USA after having lived in London, ON, Canada and Barcelona, Spain.

I have a tremendous appreciation for the similarities and differences that we have across the globe. I worked and volunteered for the international student center at my university and it has helped me to learn so much about other cultures. These experiences were ultimately the impetus for me to start traveling and exploring more of the world. and it excites me to know that I've made interacting with travelers and people from other countries my regular hobby and a passion in my life.

I think traveling is a given.

LOVE sports, playing and watching football, American football, basketball.

Languages. I speak English, Korean and Spanish and I'm always trying to improve my French.

Fitness.. this must be sacrificed somewhat if you're traveling but if I can get it in on the road, I definitely will, even if I have to pay a ridiculous fee..

Snowboarding is also a great hobby.

Having lived in several different countries and being familiar with a wide range of cultures, I hope that I can share the little that I have learned from my previous experiences with others who are like-minded and are willing to learn more about the world. I also love languages, and love talking about them, learning them and teaching them. I would also be happy to do things around the city with you, be shown around and learn from your knowledge of your city, and hear about your experiences.

Additionally, I like to save money when I'm traveling so naturally I like to make my own meals by grocery shopping at a local store and cooking good food at a good price. I can make a few Spanish and Korean dishes, so I'd love to shop/cook/eat with you while chatting about all sorts of things.

But at the end of the day, it's not just about learning and sharing things, but ultimately about meeting people and getting to know them, and hopefully I can make more friends around the world to keep in touch in our long journeys called life!
