About Me

I'm a young man exploring life in London. I like new adventures and challenges, stimulating conversation and a good cup of tea or pint of ale depending on the situation. I don't trust people who dislike cats. I can basically talk anyone's ear off about almost anything.

Feel free to just drop me a line or two.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and having interesting conversations.

Interests

Travelling, hiking, camping, cooking, tea, coffee, craft beers and ales, chess, reading, writing (short stories and novels), stand up comedy, rock climbing, long distance running, rollerblading. My life is literally a melting pot of different hobbies. I'm rarely excellent at one thing because of this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being at Stonehenge for the summer solstice in the pouring rain with a bottle of fine wine.

Standing on the beach in Portsmouth at Midnight New Years Day and watching fireworks go off all around us.

Diving on the Great Barrier Reef at sunrise and watching the creatures wake up around us.

Surviving a 17 hour snowstorm in the Indian Himalaya's.

Being part of the first group to cross Darwa Pass in 2015.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think three quotes in particular sum up my views on the world and help shape the direction my life moves in:

"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves."

"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."

"I wish..." she said, and stopped. There was nothing that could be gained by wishing for it.
