About Me

ABOUT ME

I have traveled all over Australia over the years. I now like to travel outside of Australia. Have a lot of good experiences travelling where a lot of people have been hospitable and helpful. I would like to give back some of the help I received. Being Maltese born, I have the Mediterranean hospitality in my character where there is always food on the table and a place to crash if you need it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to Couchsurfing although I know people in Alice that have been hosting travellers. Made use of Couchsurfing while overseas and I have now hosted several backpackers at home. Some special people in my life came from Couchsurfing.

Interests

I am very comfortable with my own company so I don't yearn for company all the time but love to meet people that have a similar interest. Love to travel not just to tick places off the list but to really experience the country, culture, people, food. I make it a point of not going anywhere for less than 3 months. This is even more important living in Australia where we are so far away from everywhere.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all type of music although can't play any instrument. Not keen on jazz and I listen to a lot of world music. I have a lot of favourite movies, top of the list is Casablanca. Love old black and white movies from the 30s and 40s.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a lot of amazing natural and man made things but nothing matches witnessing the miracle of childbirth. Last year I walked the Camino de Santiago which was the second best experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being in my 60s, I have a lot of life experience. I always keep an open mind and realise that you never stop learning. Love to learn other ways of looking at things and explore ways that other cultures look at life.

Countries I’ve Visited
