ABOUT ME

I'm currently studying and working at University of East Anglia (UEA) as a PhD Researcher. I came from the tropical islands of the Philippines. I just arrived in the UK last Jan 2017. Before I went to the UK, I was working at the University of the Philippines as a Marine Biologist. I love traveling during the height of my couchsurfing days. I used to hangout and give city tours to travelers who wanted to explore Manila and offer them handy tips while in town. I also participate in CS Manila events and night-outs (memorable experience).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everytime I go to foreign places, I always see to it that I check out the local couchsurfing community. I made a facebook group for a certain local couchsurfing group so that they can reach each other thru facebook group easily and organize weekly meet-ups.

I've been doing couchsurfing since 2009 and in this community I found not only the best travel buddies but also genuine friends. I've learned different cultures and probably some simple greetings in different languages. I know that CS got its glories and downsides as well but that doesn't affect my views of the world and its diversity of people.
