Overview
About Me
I'm a Dental Student at the University of Szeged and of Hungarian origin but I was born (and lived until the age of 18) in the USA. I loved traveling from the first time I came to Hungary to visit my family, and can't get enough since.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing, because exploring the city with a local is a much more immersive experience than just staying in a hotel and looking at all the main tourist attractions. I've had experiences where I was only in a city for one day, but my host made me feel like I lived there my whole life!
Hosting has also become very fun, getting to know people of all cultures, and showing them Hungarian culture. I have also learned a great deal about the surrounding area's history and geography.
Interests
I love languages. Every place I go I try learn a few phrases. It's great to see the way different languages express certain phrases. I like to bike around the city, but I am quite busy with classes during the semester.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't like to limit myself to certain types of entertainment. Try me! I like all sorts of different things. Lately though, I've gotten into 70s/80s American classics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hosted a wonderful German guy who convinced me to start hitchhiking. And we did, all the way from Szeged to Novi Sad and back.
Took a ferry from Gibraltar to Morocco on a day trip and saw the markets there. What a different world.
Ate in the 360 degree rotating restaurant in the top of the UFO tower in Bratislava.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to teach people anything I know that they don't, and in return I'd like to learn as much as possible. Why limit yourself?
What I Can Share with Hosts
A positive outlook on life, and a good sense of humor. I can also cook some Hungarian specialties (Breaded meat, Chicken Paprikas, etc.)
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Virgin Islands, U.S.
