Overview
About Me
I am a scientist who studies sleep and intelligence. My work is also my hobby, but I also have a serious taste for interesting places, double IPAs and single malts.
I work in Budapest but I currently cannot host there because that's not where I live. If I have the time, I'm sometimes available for meet-ups. I gladly take guests in my house in Székesfehérvár though (one hour from Budapest by bus or train). I also have a year-round usable summer house in the Balaton highlands, a really cool and interesting area.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to get to know people from around the world and show them the places where I usually go. It is also interesting for me to host because from my guests I often get a very different angle on things which are 'nothing special' to me.
Interests
I genuinely like science and learning stuff, but also crazy cartoons, Seth Rogen movies and highly inappropriate jokes. I do weight lifting and a lot of bicycle riding, but the only pro sport I watch is Starcraft 2. When I have the time and the money, I like to travel the world and climb tall mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: mostly metal, but sometimes I get to like surprising things
Movies: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (and many others)
Books: always way too many on my list to read
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Within one year landed on the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran and George Bush Intercontinental in Houston, Texas and was admitted in both countries
Climbed Mt. Damavand in Iran and several four-thousanders in the European Alps
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can host people who are genuinely interested in Hungary, away from the tourist areas of Budapest. I can show you several interesting places in the country that non-Hungarians rarely visit.
Countries I’ve Lived In
