CURRENT MISSION

I am making an epic road trip by the waterways of Europe. Started in Belgium and perhaps going all the way to the Black Sea. I want to have saved in advance, making part of the money as we go. And I look for fellow companionships and ideas!

ABOUT ME

I am a thirtysomething. My dream now is to go on a road trip using the waterways of europe. I made a big raft and get it moving by solar energy (amongst many other things that I look into for off-grid living). If you want to help me, feel free, I will be happy to have you around. I am looking for people who want to go with me, because travelling alone just isn 't the same in my experience. If you are plain young or young at heart, both are equally good for me. I am especially looking for pirates, princesses and perhaps some gremlins to join me on the journey. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People who are interested in my project are welcome to come and stay. If you are interested in helping me preparing the boat trip we could work leisurely and enjoy good food and a drink in town at night for example.
But just to have you as guests and see that you that you have a bed without further ado, I don 't have time for that. You will still be welcome for a coffee etc of course! But a helping hand is welcome for as long as they want and more, also welcome to join me on the waterway-trip

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I 've had some couchsurfers stay over in my apartment when I lived in Brussels and I enjoy having guests.
But as you can see in how I participate, I only want guests now that want to actively help me get everything in order for a trip on the waterways and hopefully join me! Helping hands are welcome for as long as they want!

Into the wild (road trip, however, I ' d like my/our? road trip not to end like his), The matrix (SF boymovie nr1 with some philosphy and a great pace), the world fastest Indian (another road movie and again a great pace), the Aviator (I just think it was a great acting performance, I could feel the drive), ...

Books: Tortilla Flats (Steinbeck), Jonathan Livingstone Seagull (Bach?), ... I am reading A Game of Thrones by Gearoge R.R. Martin now
I like to read all kinds of popular science and of course comix

Just to add something for music: Canned Heat, they have songs that make me happy and relaxed...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
