About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a healthy, happy man who doesn't accept that being older than 50 means being old.
I love keeping my mind active with cultural activities, travel and meeting people of all sorts - that's where CS comes in.
Physical activity is a part of every day - cycling, running, gym, yoga, kayaking, surfing, bushwalking etc.
I have three sons who are important in my life - but they have left home and are busy with their own lives so I don't see too much of them now.
I like my work in science, but outside work hours I play and relax - even though you can't take the scientist out of me.
PHILOSOPHY
Broad-minded, humanistic, left-leaning, conservationist
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't done anything like couchsurfing for many years, but a long time ago I did my share of backpacking in the US and Europe. As an exchange student in the 70s I made many friends around the world and received a lot of hospitality. I return that hospitality indirectly, to other travellers in the great circle. I've been lucky to travel a lot in my work and whenever I can, I visit old friends and keep in touch with them.
