About Me

I am a tech entrepreneur turned permaculture designer living in the Hungarian countryside in a tiny village about 150km away from Budapest. I recently bought the land and am currently in the process of turning it into a homestead where I grow all my food, keep animals and enjoy a quiet life. I share the place with Bobi the komondor dog (he may look rather tough in the photos but he's a sweet, friendly creature), Cica the cat and 11 chickens who roam around the garden all day, which is super entertaining to watch.

I used to travel a lot before and lived in several countries, explored different cultures and made many friends along the way. These days the travel bug has quieted down somewhat but it still does bite every now and then.

I love making music (used to play keyboards in a psychedelic post rock band a few years ago), attending summer psy music festivals, cooking, observing nature and thinking about how to turn the homestead into a permaculture wonderland. Permaculture pretty much occupies most of my time these days :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a traveler myself and enjoyed the hospitality of many nice people sharing their home with me. It's great to explore a place this way so I'd like to give back to fellow travelers what I experienced.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love jazz and blues music. These days I mostly listen to psybient/psychill and psy trance but when I play guitar I sound quite bluesy with occasional jazz overtones.

Unfortunately I don't read many books these days but when I do I like non-fiction and biographies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A quiet place to stay, home cooked simple (vegetarian) meals, a bicycle to get around with and ideas on what to explore in the area. I also love chatting with my guests to share stories and ideas.
