About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm currently undertaking postgrauate studies in University College Dublin, and trying to see as much of the world as possible when I have the time.

ABOUT ME

Hello hello hello. I'm Peter. I'm a PhD student in UCD. I like music, gaelic football and food and if you couchsurf with me I will probably force all three of those things upon you. I live in a part of Dublin called Clonskeagh. It's a little bit out of the city centre but Dublin is so small that it's easy to get anywhere fairly quickly.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't make decisions lying on your arse.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, I surf. One could say I go both ways.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been very good to me. With it I have travelled across the States, met lots of wonderful people and gone to gigs with other CouchSurfers in Glasgow and Barcelona. I have also hosted some great characters. I think it incorporates all that is good about the human psyche.

Interests

Maths, Morrissey and Gaelic Football.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- R.E.M., The Smiths, Belle & Sebastian, Eels, Leonard Cohen, Morrissey, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Rufus Wainwright and loads loads more. They're just my favourites.

Movies - Garden State, Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, Harold & Maude, The Deer Hunter...

Books - On the Road, Perks of being a Wallflower, Catcher in the Rye, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2010 I drove 5912 miles across the United States of America with two of my best friends. We were following in the footsteps (tire tracks would probably make more sense here) of Jack Kerouac. We Couchsurfed and camped and slept in the car along the way. And ate a tonne of pancakes. It was great.
