About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be taught by the WORLD

ABOUT ME

I am a student at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Long term travelling have always been my favourite journeys, living where I travel sort of thing. The best part of my trips has always been the hiking or the biking or the mountaineering or the skiing or the etc; outdoor adventuring where I really get to see the country. I look forward to meeting new people who I can explore the world with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested in surfing couches, learning about new people and their cultures, and sharing my own experiences of my hometown and my travels.

Interests

Hiking - interesting trails with good views
Mountaineering - not sure if this is the term for climbing up mountains, again on interesting trails with good views, but I'll call it that
Biking - road biking, everyday biking, trail biking love it all
Writing - travel writing produces such great stories
Meeting new people and sharing time with old friends
Reading - both for pleasure and for study
Camp - working with kids, leading activities and sports
for them
Music - listening to it, talking about it, concerts, and, as best as I can, producing it
Planning things - making big social events happen

Music, Movies, and Books

Great Music:
- Anything by Chili Peppers has been a personal favourite of mine for most of my life. But, if I had to choose one CD, Californication seems to be the best combination of their funk and their newer vibe.
- Dave Matthews Band, especially Live at Radio City. One of the best concert albums/DVDs I know
- Eddie Vedder. He's great in Pearl Jam, especially older stuff like Black, but his solo album for Into the Wild is my fav
- Metric. Great Canadian content, gotta love Emily Haines, best female lead in rock
Great Movies:
- Into the Wild. superb music (see above) by Vedder, captivating and tragic story following in the footsteps of Thorough and Emerson
- Snatch. Guy Ritchie at his best
- Blood diamond
- Youtube
Great Books:
- Frankenstein, Shelley
- Maus I and II, Art Spiegelman
- The Good Soldier, Ford Madox Ford
- All Quiet on the Western Front, Erich Marie Remarque
- As For Me and My House, Sinclair Ross
- Brave New World, Aldous Huxley
- 1984, George Orwell
- Politics and the English Language, George Orwell
