Interests
Most of my free time is spent in the great outdoors, listening to music, or listening to music while in the great outdoors. I also watch / follow EPL soccer. For music, mostly I listen to various types of experimental music...noise, drone, ambient, minimal electronic, freak folk, etc. For the outdoors, I love to ski, climb, hike, camp, trail run, and get on top of big mountain peaks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Boredoms, Yellow Swans, and Animal Collective are probably the 3 bands that have had the most influence on my tastes though lately I've been listening to a lot more electronic music than anything else...mostly techno in the Ostgut Ton vein and various offsprings of dubstep...some footwork/juke, tech-step hybrids, etc.
Movies - I wish I had a similar knowledge of film as I do of music, but I don't. Similar to music above I seem to prefer indie to blockbuster and similar to books below I seem to like documentaries. My netflix queue is like 70% documentaries right now.
Books - Tend to read non-fiction and they lately have tended to involve energy, sustainability, and food; or mountaineering, climbing and skiing. I did listen to the first two CDs worth of Consent to Kill on a drive back to Bozeman from Jackson, WY recently. Was my first book on tape and was definitely into it so I should go read or at least finish listening to it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing Granite peak, the highest point in Montana. Mostly a hike and scramble with just a bit of some technical sections, but an amazing experience. Got me into climbing and makes me want to do more peaks.

Teach, Learn, Share
Love to talk music and am reasonably well versed in some aspects of experimental music....also, backcountry skiing...just getting into climbing and mountaineering so while I don't know much, I certainly talk about it a lot. And am passionate about efficient lifestyle practices.
