About Me

~~IMPORTANT UPDATE: too late! I’m back to travelling, hence not in Rome! I also decided to stay away from social media for some time (including couchsurfing),
being on a very serious detox , so don’t expect a reply. Sorry not sorry! :) ~~

After years of travelling I decided to take a break from the nomadic life style and moved, temporarily, to Rome No one knows for how long it’s going to last so you’d better be quick ;) Hence, I considered hosting for a change, yet I can only offer a sofa-bed in my room. If you’re not too picky it might work for a night or two... at least when it comes to the sleeping arrangement, be picky when it comes to the people though :)

About me I’ve been on a big journey the last couple of years constantly reinventing my life. Nothing’s permanent in the end. Some people called me a nomad, others even defined me a vagabond because to their standards I'm homeless haha (to my standards, however, I don't need a place to feel home), however as a person who's averse pigeonholing people I wouldn't put myself in neither of these boxes. I hold a curious, positive and open mind, honesty, respect and adventure in high regard Can’t live without laughing out loud, my yoga mat (yeah I know, no attachment), movement, nature, music and dancing, travel, languages, pizza and pasta (I tried but it's just bound to fail) What I could live without though are shoes and narrow-minded, selfish or phony people

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I adore genuine smiles, authentic people and when you share more than your travel stories, I’d rather go for the deep talk - traveling is what unites us all, I value getting to know the person on a personal level
Stand up for your values and be yourself

Interests

I love... *the outdoors and nature *my bike *mountains: hiking & trekking, climbing, and when they are covered in this beautiful, soft and white powder snowboarding *the sea: don’t ever try to get me to lie on the beach and “relax”, I’m there to have fun and being active or chill at sunset (incurable addiction) *yoga and meditation *dancing: Salsa or just going crazy and shaking it all out *languages: I wish I could speak them all - French, Romanian and Greek are on my list too *healthy food * conquer my curiousity of the world *expanding my personal growth through life experience *writing “stuff“anything apart from messages which I hate to write haha

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: you'll hardly find me not listening to music and if you’re unlucky even singing along
it might be easier to tell you what kind of music I don't like but I try to give you an idea:
Classic, Rock, Indie, Reggae, Ska, Jazz, Hip Hop Classics, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, Latin,

Books: change from whatever interests me most at that moment, currently that’s a lot about philosophy, yoga, massage, self-development, life coaching and of course an all time favorite: travel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I know you’ve asked for ONE thing only but it’s too hard to choose so please turn a blind eye and skip if you’re already tired of me :P *quit my office job and left my home country *Donated two thirds of my closet and belongings to poor people to live a minimalistic life style * Walked the Camino Portugués in 9 days without getting blisters :) *Deactivated the notifications function on my phone to enjoy the presence of the people I'm with (in case of an emergency one can always consider getting old-fashioned and call me) *Spent 3 days in Bolivia's desert and witnessed the most beautiful sunset (I'm a hopeless sunset addict) *Disconnected from the outside world for an entire month * Standing immobile mesmerized by the Iguacu Falls surrounding me * Experienced something indescribable during a yoga teacher training in Bali * Won a flight to India * Spent new year's eve on the beach in Rio de Janeiro and had a naked (just as tradition demands haha) midnight swim in the Atlantic ocean

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very curious in my nature and I highly appreciate every effort someone takes to teach me something new. I suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out) so I’m always down for some spontaneous monkey business :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Apart from the common things such as time, talks, laughter, food and drinks I'd love to share the less common experience :) I'm really good in getting myself into shenanigans
