Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels I've been getting more and more interested in a local experience. This seems to be a nice way to get to know local people.

Interests

During my travels I like to see some top sights, visit nice cafes, pubs and bars, restaurants, also museums or gallery etc. Maybe participate local activities.

From classic movies to more recent one.

Some favourite films: Withnail and I, Vanya on 42nd Street, The Producers by Mel Brooks and The Long Goodbye by Altman. In Bruges.

Music: Tom Waits, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, jazz and opera.

Also Finnish band Jaakko Laitinen ja väärä raha. They mix Balkan grooves with old Finnish tango and world music influences.

Books:

I like reading all sorts of books. Fiction and non-fiction. One of my interests in noir-style crime novels. Chandler, Ellroy, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can endlessly talk about movies and traveling. But of course I can also share some knowledge of Finland and Finnish culture, history etc.
