Adventures with the right amount of spontaneity to keep things interesting, spiritual and philosophical, but not religious. My interests include but are not limited to queer culture, politics, naps, TV shows, puppies, naps, and pop culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout the years, I have hosted, surfed and met with so many kind and loving souls! It is definitely an experience I will forever cherish and carry with me for many years to come!

I would also like to offer and provide a safe space for members of LGBT+ traveling through the country I am living in

Interests

The LGBTQI+ community is a big part of my life. To me, being a queer is a political statement that transcends who you take to bed, it means not replicating the normed patterns, gestures, and actions. It means finding and naming new experiences and practices. It is about breaking the outdated system that society has created for us.

I started actively working with the queer community back in Indonesia. I assisted projects focusing on advocating for the transgender community in the city of Yogyakarta. I made a video about our work titled "My Gender is Human" http://youtu.be/-Xwz1I-IsKE

In Hamburg, I co-founded QTIBIPOC Hamburg - an international group open to queer, trans*, intersex, Black, Indigenous, and people of color. Dedicated to building a community for those seeking shared experiences and connections, the collective creates a space for marginalized voices to bring about change inside and out of the queer BIPOC community. This safe space isn’t only for emotional recharge; it is also a place to educate and learn, laugh, and simply be.

In Berlin, I am part of an international platform called 'Queer' Asia in Berlin, which is a network of queer-identifying academics, filmmakers & artists.

Music: Heavy metal. . . . .ha just kidding! Not set genre really, I enjoy listening to a little bit of everything.

I watch TV shows more than movies. I also love watching serial killer documentaries. They're pretty terrifying and additive at the same time.
