ABOUT ME

Let's start from the beginning! My name is Petra, I'm 30 years old and I'm from the Czech capital city Prague. My name itself can tell you something about me. "Petra" comes from the Greek word "petros" meaning "stone, rock". This stone and I, we have one thing in common - we are both very hardheaded, which is in a way a good thing (in a long-term I'm focused, goal-seeking and quite patient) but sometimes it can be annoying, especially for the others (it can take me some time to accept somebody's true). My friends (at least they say so) like that I'm a bit crazy, I'm coming up with new ideas all the time and I'm always ready to put them into practice. On the other hand, they reproach me with being busy, here and there, doing too many things in the same time. I admit they are right, but I think I need to live like that; I need new impulses and challenges all the time, if I don't have them I feel bored or useless and I know that "more things I have to do, the more things I actually accomplish". These changes, challenges and busy days make me happy!

Unuseful information about me:
- every year I'm willing to run a half-marathon, every year I train myself, but only once I've actually run it
- I would love Prague to be flat so that I can ride a bicycle there every day as I was doing when living abroad
- even though I don't know a lot about film industry and Brazilian cinematography, I organise for the third time a festival of Brazilian movies in Prague
- I love travelling, but I always leave all the preparation of the journey at the last minute so sometimes, it's a big adventure
- I'm learning Arabic

I know this community through my friends and I feel it's a good means how to get to know interesting people around the world that have the same intersts - travelling, discovering different cultures and so on! So that's why I join CS!

Once I was hosted by a very nice couple (couchsurfers) in Stockholm! Great exerience!
