ABOUT ME
I like:
writing postcards, collecting peppermint to make some tea, wood - especially wooden furniture, good smelling people and fresh brushed teeth, candles, getting postcards, my yellow jacket, gin tonic, montains, freezing-cold lakes, sitting in front of my "neighbour church" in summer and smoking water pipe (acctually, I've moved recently, but sitting there and twinkling into the sun was quite enjoyable), flying a kite, jogging in the rain, the little tiger and his tigerduck, Hermann Hesse, wearing coloured shawls, listening to people speaking French, fresh bread, having friends around and feeling good,...
I don't like:
roller shutters (to darken a sleeping room at night), table napkins,...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I "discovered" couchsurfing a few years ago in New Zealand and Fiji together with a friend while travelling around and I simply loved it! We met great people, done kind of "cultural exchange" and made the world a little bit better by cooking German dishes at the other side of the world ;-).
So I would really like to host travellers here in Munich but at the moment I'm living in a 10-sq.m-room in a student accomodation ...almost enough room for just one person...
For now I have to be happy with surfing couches. That's pretty cool, though ;-).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Fantastic, great, awesome! Laid-back, friendly, trustful peolpe, who always made my stays abroad something really special. Most of the best memorys of journeys are connected to people, aren't they?
Interests
Ecological lifestyle: I'm studying environmental engineering and the more I'm learning about it, the more I like it. Furthermore I like ecological food, cooking and eating vegetarian dishes, discovering foreign cultures via savouring typical meals, mmh!
Outdoor: I'm simply addicted to move around outside - to do hiking and rock climbing, especially in the Alpes, to cycle - every day but travelling by bike as well or simply to look into blue sky and scenting coniferous forest.
Music: like to hear Muse, Radiohead and German "equivalents" like Slut and Tocotronic with these poetic kind of texts. Or Beirut, Mumford&Suns,... For dancing I prefer electric music, yeah! Then I like classical music as well, especially live, listening to a great philharmonic orchestra, watching 30 of synchronous fiddlesticks...
Music II: I love playing the trumpet and I would really like to play piano but I still can't handle doing two different things with my hands. Incredible!
Crocheting, learning languages (Russian, Italian-for-holiday-use, improving my French), music festivals, watching theatres and ballets, reading, baking cakes, cooking in the evening with flatmates and friends...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
unpacking candles for about four month?!? haha...
Teach, Learn, Share
Voll gut, I'm pretty keen on learning new stuff. I've already learnt juggling and fire breathing from a guy in New Zealand (proud!), so I would teach YOU that as well ;-).
Other stuff I'm going to teach you: how to "roll" a proper German "R", how to play the trumpet, how to keep your dreads tight and smooth, how to cook "Apfelstrudel", how to separate your garbage in an accurate German manner ;-),...
