About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy and see the world.

ABOUT ME

Work hard and would love to travel more.

PHILOSOPHY

Just try to be good a human - life can throw you some big curveballs so love and laugh as much as you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Somehow I have been oblivious of this amazing idea until really recently when a friend told me about it. I love the idea of meeting people from around the world and we have often hosted travellers (not through here) to help them out in NZ.

Interests

I'm happiest in nature, I love to escape and get out on one of my bikes and go exploring, failing that I'd like to get out and hike.

If I'm not out on a bike I love great food, UK football, red wine, Guinness, exploring the great outdoors, breakfast in bed, art, design, architecture, mooching about, and friendly happy people!

Music, Movies, and Books

It's so hard to say, there's so much great music out there, this year I have been to see the Arctic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher and Khruangbin live, they've all be quality. Albums that are currently getting heavily rotated:
- The Villagers: Darling Arithmetic
- Rhian Sheehan: A Quiet Divide
- The National: All of them!
- Nils Frahm: All Melody

I love watching movies and documentaries, so I can't pin it down. Some classics I go back to: Jaws, Skyfall, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exploring the southern Alps of New Zealand, a group of us hiked up one side with our mountain bikes and descended down the other side. Challenging, but a really amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a web developer, so I can teach some code related stuff… it's not as boring as it sounds. Otherwise biking, football or I can make a cracking Sunday roast!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories and advice on great spots in Wellington and across NZ. Over the nine years I've lived here I've travelled all over if you need any recommendations for New Zealand I can give it to you!
