About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an individual that can't keep his nose of out current world affairs. I love to learn, I love to explore, and I love sharing my discoveries with others. I'm sometimes too busy for my own good, so when I have the opportunity to meet other people who are also interested in exploring this great big world, it has the effect of slowing me down and causing me to enjoy life a bit more.

My wife Shandi is an animal lover and a people person. She has the ability to make friends with everyone, and is always interested in the experiences of others. She softens my opinions, and I am always thankful for it. Together we make a great team!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're new at this - our couch is open! We like to travel and see the world about once a year, and we'd rather see the world through the eyes of locals than from the concrete walls of a sterilized hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I recently saw Roger Waters perform The Wall in Toronto. Watching him perform Comfortably Numb was amazing - my bucket list got just a little shorter that night!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shandi and I spent two weeks on a road trip across eastern Canada two years ago - out of 14 days, we spent only 3 days in a bed. Not only did we learn a lot about each other, but we got to see and do so much more than if we'd done the sterotypical tourist thing. That's what makes travelling awesome - there's more to this world than airplanes and hotels.
