ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Andrew.I'm definitely a free spirit that likes to be challenged on a daily basis.I grew up in Maryland but I've lived in Sydney, Australia; Tampa, Florida; and Morgantown, WV (where I attended college). Traveling to new places is something that I adore. Ive been to 6 of the seven continents and plan to visit each one. Yes that includes Antarctica. I am an independent contractor and my job fortunately allows me to travel internationally. One of my best friends once informed me that his friends were his family. I too have adopted that mentality. My friends mean everything to me. They are the people I can confide in, laugh at, cry too, and celebrate with. My friends think this is weird, but everyday I try to do something that scares me. I enjoy the risk in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How i participate in the only way i know how, to just be open and accepting of anyone i encounter. I have a huge desire is to help this couchsurfering community in anyway that i can. After all, nothing can replace the importance of servitude.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I feel very blessed to have discovered this incredible community whose central theme is LOVE, SHARE, and EXPERIENCE.
Ive been fortunate enough to have stayed with dozens of surfers, and even hosted a few myself. Nothing is more empowering than helping others.

After All, traveling should be available to everyone.

Interests

Im interested in anyone/anything that challenges me. Im not interested, in anyone/anything who is trendy. Be yourself!!! Most people compare themselves with others. Osho said, "As humans, that is our greatest disease. Each individual is unique, so comparison is not possible. I am just myself and you are just yourself. There is nobody else in the world you can be compared with."

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music:
My mood dictates my music, not the other way around. I do not pick a particular type of music to cheer myself up. I simply chose music that reflects how I am feeling at that particular moment. Therefore, all genres qualify; from Eminem to Beethoven.
Favorite Movies:
Movies that inspire me, make me laugh, send me on an emotional rollercoater. (e.g. Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Good Will Hunting, Dumb and Dumber.)
Favorite Books:
Any book that can teach me something interesting(informative based) and occasionally a good thriller or classic for recreational reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing i've ever done, is that I loved a woman with everything i had. It was the scariest and the most rewarding experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've traveled all over the globe, (90 countries in total) and I have come to the realization that, nothing matters if people aren't involved. Nothing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The greatest gift possible. The great gift any of us can ever offer one another. Experience Sharing. I have found no better tool, and no better way to formulate the bond between to strangers.
To me a stranger is defined as someone, who you have yet to smile at.......
