Overview
About Me
I am a Software Engineer at the Budapest office of Whitepages, a Seattle-based US company, where I help to make the world better by developing tools for fighting against Internet fraud. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor at Eötvös Loránd University, teaching and doing research on programming languages, and I worked as an engine programmer at Invictus Games. At the same time, I was a volunteer in free software projects, and in connection with that, I travelled and organized many technical workshops all around Europe. I ride the bike almost every day, swim and do progressive calisthenics regularly, and I often take shorter hikes with my girlfriend in the hills around Budapest. I am also interested in music, I can play the drums a little bit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting new people, learning more about their culture and the world in general. I also believe that staying in a hotel will not give me a real impression how people in the area live and think, and I am interested in that! Especially from the times when I was organizing workshops abroad, I already have a good experiences with the cases when local people gave me a tour and picked me places to hang out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Organized and run a technical workshop on my own money.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely share my company, I am generally a friendly, talkative, curious, and open-minded person. I am also glad to help with things in the kitchen, or cook traditional Hungarian food (if the necessary ingredients are available). And as my education suggests, I know a lot about computers, so I can fix them or teach a thing or two about computer programming. I may even volunteer to play the drums to jam to.
