About Me
Hey everyone,
My name is Peter - a 24 year old currently living in Oakland. I graduated UC Berkeley in 2014 and decided to stick around the Bay Area working for a tech company. I am an avid backpacker and rock climber and, in the lull hours of the day, a bookworm. I write a lot of short stories in my free time, jam to the Eastern Sierras, and volunteer as a high school debate judge.
Also a pretty solid chef, so I'm down to cook you a meal!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am new to this sight, but I would love to host the weary traveler; I have a communal couch in a 4 person apartment thats close to public transpo [BART], a bar, and a pretty great taqueria.
Also would love to give back to this community so I can have some credibility when I go on future adventures. I will be doing the Pacific Crest trail [2600 miles from southern California to British Columbia boarder] in May.
Music, Movies, and Books
Johnathan Franzen, David Foster Wallace, Ian McEwan, Umberto Eco, William Gaddis, Ishiguro, Philip Roth, Coetzee, William Gass, Don Dellilo, Foucault, Nicholson Baker, George Saunders.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Road-tripped for a month straight, exclusively camping & backpacking in national / state parks in California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Arizona. During that trip I fended off a bear with pepper spray and nearly shit my pants.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Place to crash, dinner, shower - mi casa es su casa.
