About Me
Someone I know told me that it's better to be a traveller than a tourist and this is how I want to spend the rest of my life..As a traveller, exploring, learning, understanding the beauty of life, relationships, love, friendship, nature, wildlife, food, books, movies, coffee, sunshine, beach, mountain, dessert and anything our beautiful planet has to offer. I am an experienced airbnb host so I appreciate every effort, big and small, that goes into hosting someone and sharing your home. I am exceptionally tidy, understanding, undemanding, light traveller ready to share my multi cultural heritage and experiences- beware my palate is strong and my cooking skills are magical, so would rock up a gourmet meal with simple ingredients and sweep you off your feet!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend and I love to travel and meet new people..we believe that travelling should be free and made accessible to all. We have freed our home for guests to couch surfing (under his profile) and we are overwhelmed with the number of good , honest, interesting, genuine people we have met from all over the world. We want to continue this trend and continue visiting new places and make new friends.
Interests
I grew up in a small village in India where I learnt how to grow and plant our own food and live a sustainable life in harmony with nature, animals and communities , therefore, my bond with mother earth is strong. I love food and the ceremony that surrounds food, the preparation, the cooking and the sharing of food with your loved ones- so I am always in the look out for that little local gem where food is served with love, not really a fan of expensive high end places. I love fitting in a fitness schedule to work around my lifestyle so have taken up cycling which I use to commute to work.I now cycle whenever I can to places , like a beach or a secluded village which perhaps is not accessible by public transport. My life is taking a beautiful turn after I met my boyfriend who is devoting his life to introduce me to all the amazing books that I haven't read and movies I haven't watched so I am developing rather a very keen interest in these two fields.I am however still an amateur.

Music, Movies, and Books
My interest in music is mainly in the Folk music- there's something mysterious in the rustic charm of folk music. I am slowly opening the world of meaningful reading and find Saramago, Orwell, Nietzsche interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amongst the many things, one that tops the list was volunteering in an orphanage in Peru.. I loved the connections I made there. Ps: Hiking the Inca Trail was a very memorable side experience!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I will be happy to share my multicultural knowledge, about India and it's tradition. I can also share loads of information about Scotland, in particular Edinburgh, which has been my home for the past 14 years. I am a very good cook and can show or share with you my various Indian cooking recipe with many awesome vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our company, good chats, respect and a nice home cooked meal if the occasion permits.
