About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm on a mission to live my life without a mission for the as long as it take for me to find my next mission
ABOUT ME
I love the natural sciences and I love nature even more. Environmental activism is something I've dabbled in but never taken to the extreme.
So far, I've lived a very linear life. I had goals, I recognized them, and I achieved them as quickly as possible, But I really only planned as far as finishing my undergrad degree, so now I want to spend a bit of time away from my old linear way of living and drift around laterally for a while, until I find a new path which sparks my interest.
I'm very books smart but not so life smart. I am a quiet, introspective person, but I really love getting to know people. I play music, I brew my own beer and wine, and I read a lot, I'm learning how to fix bicycles,
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf around and get to know people. It's been a while since I've had a couch of my own, but that doesn't stop me from hosting or surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A bit in Brazil as a surfer, a bit in Kalamazoo as a host. I've never met someone that I didn't hit it off with.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Dharma Bums, On The Road, Walden, A Sand County Almanac, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Prodigal Summer, 1984, Bound for Glory.
I love local Michigan folk music. I could be happy never listening to anything from outside of Michigan again, but I'm excited to get to know local artists from other localities.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Kalamazoo Michigan, I was able to help start and run a Community garden with 24- 10x25 plots of garden space open to university students and members of the local community. I also installed a kick ass drip irrigation system for the garden.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook, and am almost always willing to cook a meal for you.
I can also share my beer and wine making skills, along with my knowledge of Biology and Chemistry, both of which I have tutored or taught. I have a fairly mechanical mind and a fairly strong build, so I also don't mind sharing in a little manual labor if you are in need of it. I garden and read a lot as well, so I love discussing both of those topics.
