About Me
ABOUT ME
In the 1970 my dear parents decided to settle in a small town in southern Sweden. Without having any particular ties to it. It is conveniently located close to copenhagen though, well it is now after they built the bridge to Denmark but it wasn't when my parents decided to live there. To get to the point, this small town has probably the worst dialect in the entire country. I sadly picked up some of this dialect, specifically the lack of the letter "R". It is simply not pronounced and when in some rare cases you have to have some kind of sound for it, it sounds more like a "w". Well to get to the real point: Whilst in Montreal I tried to learn french and was living with francophones and french people. The french language has quite a few "r"'s and it's kinda hilarious to hear me gurgle them out. Imagine someone intensely gurgling after brushing their teeth, in the middle of a word. That was me making an ass out of myself every morning. An amazing way to start the day :D
Describing myself is a hard thing to do. I think I know myself way too well to make an accurate description. But I think I'm a nice person probably. A bit geeky (I once was called geeky by a Mathematics university professor, that was awesome). Confused. ehmm... I normally live in Finland but I don't really speak finnish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A colleague of convinced me that Couchsurfing was The way to travel and after trying it out I can nothing but agree with him. I've had great experiences surfing couches in Quebec and across the US. And can't wait to meet more people on my further travels.
Now when I'm back home and have my lovely little apartment again I'm looking forward to experiencing the other side of the coin; hosting and showing people the specks of gold in my town.
Interests
Food, music, randomly experiencing old and new places (not the biggest fan of maps and guidebooks), distractions from my work, volley ball, beer, being away from civilization, golf, spending time with friends and other interesting people, cheese.

Teach, Learn, Share
I do a mean home made "falafel"! And some semi-traditional nordic cooking (ex. karjalaanpiirakkat). And my chili and garlic pancakes.
I can do a crazy clicking noise with my tongue. Haven't been able to teach anyone yet though, but I can share it with you.
I know stuff about wood.
