About Me

I recently graduated with my bachelors degree, and I am now planning on taking a road trip, hopefully visiting all of the states that I have yet to go to (besides Alaska) before I continue my education in London.
I love to travel and am so thankful that couch surfing allows me to do so on a budget, and meet new people on the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I truly believe in the mission. It is an amazing way to make connections, learn from people all over the world, and do it on a budget!

Interests

I love learning about new cultures and meet new people. I’m interested in politics, history, science and media, and how they are influenced by one another. I like to learn about other people, and talk to people from different places. It is one of the best ways to learn and find new interests as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste varies from day to day. I like to listen to music from hip hop and; R&B, to classic country and pop. Recently I have been listening to a lot of Noname and Dolly Parton. I would say that Motown is my favorite genre- but 90's music has a special place in my heart as well (hip hop and alternative).

My top 3 favorite movies are probably Roma, Punch Drunk Love, and Goodfellas, off the top of my head.

I have a lot of different favorite TV shows. I love sitcoms like The Office, Parks and Recreation, and The Good Place. But I also love to get into more serious shows like Mad Men, or docuseries.

I like to read nonfiction, historical fiction, scifi and short stories. My favorite authors are Roxane Gay and David Sedaris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last spring I traveled to Mexico during the last quarter of my bachelors degree. During the last portion of the trip we had the opportunity to travel to Zapatista territory in Chiapas. We were able to stay with them and learn about their autonomous community and how it functions outside of the government. It was an amazing experience to travel into the jungle, where many aren't allowed and meet these amazing people that work so hard for their community. It was an experience like no other.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share travel and life experiences, political and economic knowledge, language studies, life philosophies, and anything else that is of mutual interest!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope that we can exchange knowledge about our own experiences and learn new things from each other. That we can form friendships and make connections that will help us travel and learn in the future. :)

Also, I'd love to cook for you!
