About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience all the little things.
ABOUT ME
I'm a full time environmental scientist and a part time photographer, but some days I doodle business plans on napkins for a bar that I dream of opening. I'm an athlete, a frequent vegetarian, and a chronic daydreamer. My special skills include being the right amount of sarcastic in appropriate situations and being able to fall asleep anywhere in most positions. The sun inspires, motivates, and recharges me. I find wonder in the smallest of details.
PHILOSOPHY
Be grateful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first CS experience was at a small bar in Perth, which then led to a spontaneous road trip with four random guys to Margaret River a few days later. The very next day after the road trip, I was homeless and was showered with love and taken in by hosts of the CS community.
On my way to Hong Kong from Sydney, I had a 19-hour layover in Manila, arriving at 1 am. I had planned to sleep on a bench at the airport and maybe grab lunch in town the next morning. As luck would have it, I met someone on CS who worked for an American company and happened to finish his shift at 2am. He drove me through the hills, stopping by local fruit stands, and we watched the sun rise from the peak.
I'm on CS because I love the idea of people's lives intersecting all around the world. You create the most unique relationships and those relationships are the backbone to a good travelling experience. I feel like there's a home for me in any country. Somehow with CS, I always feel like I'm in the right place at the right time.
Interests
I like to stay busy with friends and weekend trips but I also value alone time. It is almost impossible to get a hold of me on weekends unless you're willing to go on a trip with me. I live for epic, grueling, remote, overnight hike-in camping trips. No matter how tough it gets, I find myself loving every moment of it. Otherwise, you'll find me skiing, snowboarding, surfing, biking, taking photos, reading, learning languages, singing in the shower, reading, or googling "golden retriever puppies".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting on the beach in Hong Kong in my bikini, soaking up the warm tropical rain with my best friend after 2 months of backpacking around China together. All I remember is laughing wholeheartedly while everyone else ran for shelter.
Teach, Learn, Share
My dad gives me the best life advice ever. You'll want to hear them.
I know the best spots in Vancouver where you can experience the least amount of tourists but the true feel of the city. I'd like to have that same experience in other cities.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd like to think I'm pretty good company. I know when to be engaged and when to leave my hosts alone. I'm clean, respectful, LGBT-friendly, and easy going.
I enjoy sharing experiences and food. My dad taught me that sharing food is the best way to make friends so I'm happy to cook or give you half my chocolate bar.
