About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finish the novel I'm working on before I turn 30!
ABOUT ME
I’m trained as a scientist, but my passion is writing. In the past I have worked with chalk and a chalkboard as a teacher, with a lab coat and goggles as an experimental geochemist, and with hiking boots and a compass as a field geologist. Now, when I’m not flying around British Columbia jumping out of helicopters in the summer, I’m writing the greatest novel of all time. I've played the guitar for seventeen years and many of my closest friends are professional musicians and artists. I train at a ninjutsu school three days per week (yes, that makes me a ninja!). I could probably kick your ass... but I won't.
PHILOSOPHY
Hmm. At this point in my life I'm a pragmatist verging on nihilism. I've been reading a lot of Nietzsche lately - so much that I can actually spell 'Nietzsche' without looking it up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We shall see! I currently live in a one-room apartment, so privacy would be limited for guests, but I'm definitely up for meeting new people and showing them around Vancouver Island.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this site, but I've certainly couch-surfed before. I met an older couple on the plane between Melbourne and Auckland and ended up staying at their home in NZ. I've cycled across British Columbia and stayed with friends of friends along the way. I've crashed on countless couches and floors after late nights out. When I lived with my parents, we hosted several exchange students.

Teach, Learn, Share
Errrmmmm... not too sure what to write here. I can teach you some ninjutsu (ninja) basics. I know a lot about rocks and minerals. I know lots of places to go hiking, climbing, kayaking and exploring outdoors on Vancouver Island.
