About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Mostly, I would say that I am an artist. I am a renaissance woman, in that I can do a bit of everything (not necessarily an expert, but generally competent). I am a carpenter, a bike mechanic, a builder of useful things and art out of scavenged materials... a photographer and a painter, a writer and a poet, a healer and shaman.
Here is a link to my blog with art and writings:

I am an anarchist, in the "harm no one, do as you like", gift economy, building permacutlure farms sort of way. I try to live my life as an ongoing expression of love and gratitude. I believe that absolutely no one, not government nor religion, nor employers, family, or community, has more authority over me and my body than I do over myself, and I believe that goes for every human on the planet.

I am a bit of a food snob... in that I avoid processed food, and I eat some raw vegetables every day. I can tell the difference between a commercially farmed carrot and an organically grown carrot in a blind taste test. I know that I can cook a healthier and more delicious meal than the fanciest of fancy restaurants, and I love to cook for people. I love food, and I feel strongly that it should be grown naturally, locally, by real people, not factories.

PHILOSOPHY

Harm no one, do as you like. Walk with love and gratitude.

There is no difference between the sacred and the mundane... and there is no difference between 'the environment' and the human race... when we hurt/kill/poison the environment, we do all of those things to our own bodies, communities, souls...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very open and friendly, and I always like meeting new people. I love to cook, and hang out with people talking and working on a craft project. Sometimes I am loud, opinionated, and obnoxious, but also humble and ready to listen to the experience of others. I am generally a very open person, and I am compulsively honest. I genuinely like people and I enjoy learning about how others live their lives.

*** I don't drink alcohol much at all. I definitely do not want to go to a bar, or get drunk with you. No offense, it's just not my idea of a fun time. ***

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted people in my house a bunch. It's been awesome!

Interests

abandoned industrial places, nature, well-cooked organic food, exploring new places, photography, sarcasm, smelling things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not real good at categorizing my life this way. Maybe that means my life is boring. Or it's so exiting that I can't discern one amazing thing from the other.
