About Me

I never know how to introduce myself.

Huh.. Hi!

I ask you to, please, take a moment to read my profile (and the My Home section) before sending me requests (:
I really want to spend some time with my surfers (and hosts, of course) and I think it's important we identify with each other in some way.

If you're wondering if you should host me.. well, I can't guarantee it will be a good experience for you and me, but I hope so! Take a look at My Interests and you'll get to know a bit about me (:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

"In this world of memories, there's no need for strangers."

I was introduced to CS by a friend from university and I wanted to host people. I didn't plan to surf. I wanted to show the city I live to travelers and make them enjoy the most, as well as learning about their culture. I've always had a big passion for languages and rites. Turns out that I've surfed heaps more than I've hosted.

My CS experiences showed to be great so far. It offered me the opportunity to be in touch with other people, local people, in a way I felt like I belong to that place. Eating that hidden gem from the foodtruck on the corner, playing self-made board games all night, walking through places that look a bit dodgy and finding that great spot..
The sharing of ideas and cultural exchange that CS provides is really awesome. You're both wanting to share some piece of life with each other! And it's always good to have someone to spend time with (:

Interests

- Partying and dancing
If there's something that I undoubtly like, it is partying. I'm a fun lover. And genuinely one of the things that mostly makes me happy is dancing.

- Walking and tramping
I used to go hiking a lot when I lived in New Zealand. Every weekend we'd pack our stuff and go somewhere different. It was easier. Now that I live in Sao Paulo I try not to get lost in the concrete jungle and at least once a month go for a hike.

- Slasher movies
I'm really into movies, mainly slasher. Scream and Child's Play are one of my favs. Also enjoy Sci-fi and mindblowing plots.

- Queer stuff
Yes, I'm gay. A lot. I love talking about sexuality, relationships, love. It'd be amazing to learn some gay slangs in a different language. There're heaps of them in Brazilian Portuguese.

- Getting wasted
There's nothing to hide. Alcohol is a very good friend of mine. Either celebrating good news, enjoying some casual afternoon booze or going tequila wild into the night.

- Nights
I love the night. The stars, the moon, the dark sky, the city, the lights, the people. It's beautiful. It's infinite. It's when everything happens.

- History and stories
I like history museums and shows. I like knowing the history of the place, the legends and myths behind the things. I like hearing other people's stories, and sharing mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list. And it would be no fun if you already knew it.
I'm not really a big book enthusiast though, I'm more like a movie guy.

By the way, I'm always looking forward to have some suggestions on horror.
