About Me
Hey, I'm a teacher at a vocational school, in the north of Germany, teaching sailmaking and boat-building mainly. I love exploring, travelling, the outdoors and the sea, learning, sharing experiences and exchanging thought. Friends describe me as an open-minded, sociable and empathic person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One can only really get to know a place and a culture through it's people and by taking part and sharing, I think.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some favourites, although I'm always open to whatever matches the situation and mood: music by the Thievery Coporation, Izzy Bizu or Yakoto. Books by Cheryl Strayed, Isabell Allende or Milan Kundera. Also enjoyed watching The Mentalist or The Big Bang Theory.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sunrise after a storm on a sailing boat out on the baltic sea. Climbing the top of an active volcano in Indonesia. Being invited for a sunday dinner at a friends house in Porto. Best fish and wine, ever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy teaching German or English, anything to do with sailing or sailmaking and preparing traditional German dishes. I'm always grateful for shared travel experiences, new vocabulary in any language. Would love to try any kind of water sports, like surfing, for example.
What I Can Share with Hosts
General help with daily chores, preparing tasty dinners and lush breakfasts. Thought exchange. I'm always happy to share any of my skills and assist with anything that something can be learned from.
