We are musicians on a spiritual journey who play and chant with groups to lift our consciousness.We also enjoy music for fun and play in a world music band. Our foods and diet reflect our desire to be healthy creative people.

ABOUT ME

Phil is originally from Canada and has been in Australia for 45 years. Chiho is from Japan and currently we live in Western Australia.
We are relatively easy going and looking forward to a new world of exploration through travel and music. Life is too short to procrastinate any longer.

PHILOSOPHY

We are consciously walking on the spiritual path.
We don't belong to any religion but meditate regularlly and pray for universal peace.
We use sound and other tools for healing people or place..vibration is important as everything on this planet is vibrating.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Chiho has traveled to more than 30 countries and respects different cultures, and loves traditional ethnic music. We hope to aquire a deeper experience of the areas we visit through meeting the locals.
We would also like to host people when we can, but only if you can respect our space and abide by the tips we mention in the couch information section.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a wonderful surf experience in UK, NY, and Hawaii. That motivated us to be a good host at our home for couch surfers!

Both of us are musicians and certified teachers.
Phil teaches music & art,Chiho teaches music & Japanese in schools and privately.
We both love travelling,reading,organic foods,watching movies and soccer,laughing with friends,and playing music with people from all over the world.

One of our focuses is sound & music for health...we have regular evenings of sound meditation that include chanting, guided meditation and toning etc.

Chiho plays many musical instruments like piano, erhu (Chinese violin), sanshin (Okinawan 3 strings), ukulele, as well as singing. She has an album of music recorded on her crystal armonica (classically called glass harmonica...30 spinning crystal bowls)and we performed in various music festivals and concerts in Japan and Australia.

On the other hand Phil used to be a rock muso in many outfits and have just finished a contemporary rock album of some of my best songs.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Phil has spent time in an ashram in India and played his songs in front of 50 000 people and the guru.
He was aproached by two large oval shaped beings of light one morning while sitting on his verandah.( it scared the poop out him of at the time!)

Phil&Chiho played meditative music in the very historical shrine in Japan. The stage was 800 years old and certified Japanese treasure which is only used to give prayer/dance to God!! When Chiho was playing cyrstal armonica, many deaf kids saw the various colour lights. Later those kids described what they saw, the mothers got tears with joy..
