About Me

Hi! I am Philip from Dresden, Germany.
I'm working as a Designengineer (Rail vehicles) in Dresden. Climbing and Bouldering are my favourite sports and i love going outside to a climbingwall with my friends and having fun together.
And probably like all of you i love travelling. In 2015 i was the first time in Indonesia with my brother and from that moment i felt in love with backpacking. I want to see nearly the hole world and want to meet different people from different countries!
I also love making my own music - even when i am not a really good singer - but i want to become better in singing and playing my guitars. So i am always praticising when i got space time for it. For me Music is just great, also by just listening to it...
And i also love to pursue a trade in my freetime like building my own furniture and help other people out who call themself a "fingers are all thumbs" - person. Thats probably an engineer-disease i guess but i like it.
About me: I'm a happy guy who likes adventures in nearly all ways (especally extreme sports) and i like beeing in society with new people and of course my friends. I am able to make serious conversations but you can also talk about stupid things with me... It's probably easier to meet me to know more about me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first experience with Couchsurfing was in Indonesia - Jakarta and i loved the concept! It is just great to meet the locals, hang around with them and having a great time together. That's the best way for me to learn more about the culture, the people's livestyle and to see amazing places you have'nt planed to go to. Until now it was always a great and new experience!
I also host people in Germany (when i got the time) to meet new people from all over the world and also to give back what i got from Hosts where i've been to.
I can't always host anyone because i am not always home and sometimes i also need a bit time for myself but if it fits you are definately welcome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago i was climbing in croatia with my brother and a friend of us on a 300m high wall nearly to the top. It was the first time for me climbing such a big and high wall - the view was amazing even when we where a little scared sometimes about the heigh. But unfortunately close to the end of the route it started raining extremely and we had to reppeling (abseiling) the whole wall - that was hard but amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

As all of you i had some hard days in my life but its always important to find your way back - especally to yourself. For me trust is very important - thats why i give a lot of people at least one chance. Even when i've learned not to trust everyone...
