About Me

I travel for food, the great outdoors, and of course to meet from you great people! But mostly I travel for food.

I've spent a decent amount of time traveling in eastern Asia but recently have been spending far too much time bound to my desk in the city :( Me and my flat-mates have just started hosting fellow couchsurfers in my home in Toronto, Canada which has been a great way to feel like I'm travelling while remaining at home. If you end up in Toronto in the future, please stop by :)

I can be a huge nerd and introverted at times but travelling has helped me push myself out of my comfort zone in rewarding ways. Meeting new people in surprising places have made up most of my most important and memorable experiences.

Some other things I'm into are biking, vegetarian cooking, ultimate frisbee, graphic novels, board games, drawing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wouldn't be asking to couchsurf if I just wanted somewhere free to sleep -- I want to learn a little more about wherever it is that I am and get to know you! When I'm travelling I'm often pretty solitary so a chance to meet someone and share stories is always welcome :)

I would be incredibly grateful if you would be willing to host me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any and all music.

I haven't seen too many movies, although I usually like whatever I watch, unless it's a big Hollywood flick.

For books, I some favorite authors are Alice Munro, Kurt Vonnegut. I like sci-fi and indie graphic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Singapore for a summer way back. Ever since then I've had an insatiable travel bug!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to make pizza, bread, and beer from scratch and love to cook.

I'd love to learn about your city, language, and favorite foods!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be more than happy to take you out for dinner/cook for you.

I'm tidy, polite, and can be either out of your way or in your way depending on how you like to host.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Indonesia, Ireland, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Scotland, Taiwan, Thailand, United States
