I grew up in the south most of my life and have lived in Arkansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, South Carolina and, most recently, Washington state. I joined the Navy right after high school and I just finished my contract with the US Navy (7 years) and now I am ready to travel the world. I plan on visiting Australia, Thailand, and most of central and western Europe beginning late in June 2018.

I recently read a book on how to "travel the world on 50 dollars a day". While reading this, the book recommended making a couchsurfing account for accommodations. Of course I am aware of air bnb and avenues of that nature but what attracted me about couch surfing is the like minded people that have traveled before and know what it's like to be on the road.. I also like how an understood form of payment is that in the future if someone else ever needs a place to stay, you open your house to them.. I have already paid this forward and will continue to do so. I am very excited to meet wonderful people from all over the world and share stories and just connect with people in a way that I have never done before.

I was controlling the propulsion for our ship one day at Sea and we had to do an emergency stop... this saved the lives of a couple whales that were on a collision course with our ship.

I am very low maintenance and respectful of anyone's wishes or customs. I am very open minded and will not be offended if the hosts want no interaction with me or if they want to sit down together and share stories.
