ABOUT ME

I dunno what to say exactly about myself other than I love trodding the unbeaten path and I have an insatiable curiosity for pretty much anything. I hope people would say i'm tolerant, accommodating, genuine...they might just say I'm "weird" but that works too. I do not pretend to be anything other than who and what I am. I really just enjoy meeting other people and talking intimately about the ups and downs of life. As my life progresses, I find myself ever more appreciative of my friends, family, nature, and love. Also I am obsessed with google maps and like exploring abandoned or unusual places.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in respect. I used to think respect was a stupid, time wasting social construct - an enemy of rationality, but as I've become more aware of how EVERY person in the world has to deal with the shit that life hands them, I can't feel good about disrespect. People are not rational. That is the way it is, and life is diverse because of it. Some people just want to do what they feel is right and proper, and whether that is pushing boundaries, honoring traditions, or just doing what you do...I respect that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host anyone currently. When I have a space again, I will give you it gladly. I think couchsurfing can be an act of resistance. I hope to live in a world where our space is respectfully open and intimately linked.

I am doing this so I can get out and meet people, hear their stories, absorb what wisdom they have, make myself useful, share everything of value I can!

Interests

I love experiences that are engaging and real, and on the flipside I am also obsessed with the unreal, the fantasy. Music, art, and thought are not interests, they are my way of life, always with me and in everything around me. It's not as exciting as it sounds, I take it with a grain of salt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was canoeing with my good friend down a creek in goldstream valley, FBX AK, during breakup, we were hauling wood to try to build a cabin. We saw a piece of ice floating in the water that looked like a scared face and took it as an omen. We successfully portaged the canoe many times but then at the last moment a logjam capsized our boat and i was swept into the blistering cold water (15 feet deep), I grabbed onto the moss, pulled myself ashore and then helped my friend from a tree with an oar. We then made our way home down some train tracks.
