Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel widely, meet people and prove my faith in humanity. I love what this website is about and the idea of self-organised communities.
ABOUT ME
CouchSurfing represents some of the best things about the internet: connecting people and sharing information. I'm interested in many things. I'm passionate about the environment, community organising; exploring new places and meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live by minimal impact on our earth, an open heart and mind; I try to do good where I can and show an active interest in the world around me. I believe in the power of conversation (dialogue) so meeting - and engaging - others is important to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Having travelled around much of Europe and Central and South America I have experienced the warmth of strangers when I've not been able to rent a flat/room/bed and I'm keen to re-pay the gesture to keep the cycle of goodness in motion!
Interests
Interests are many and varied: cycling, football (soccer!), cinema, literature, capoeira, music (playing, listening and watching), writing, film-making and of course meeting people and sharing stories. Lauren is into film and cinema, cooking, and food growing.

Teach, Learn, Share
Skills I might be able to offer: bicycle maintenance (how to fix a puncture), cooking, permaculture principles, and consensus-decision making facilitation, growing food // I would like to learn many things: how to be a better listener, languages, violin and drums, how to teach better, woodwork, how to do handstands and a whole range of other things.
