About Me

My Partner and I have sold everything, and walked away from a peaceful island life, to follow our hearts.

We dream of a life lived with Nature, growing our own food, living off-grid and sustainably, and in community.

We are painters, artists, cooks, healers, musicians, creatives, gardeners, micro farmers, seed-savers, skills-sharers, writers, lovers of people, lovers of Earth.

We are not travelers or volunteers; we are skilled Global Citizens looking for a community to join and grow with. And our hearts have called us to KZN.

I was born and raised in KZN. I am returning after 25yrs, with my Love ( who is a Maltese Island girl.)

We seek a minimum 3-month stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never done official couchsurfing. But I have spent the majority of my adult life solo traveling around over 40+ countries on 3 continents, with nothing but my backpack, living in communities, as a member of community. I am very used to being an active member of a global community.
I love to learn, I love to share, and I love to participate.

Interests

Writing, painting, design, art, creating, nature, seed-saving, micro-farming, traveling, exploring, interacting with people, reading, singing, dancing, playing music, cooking, healing, gardening, hiking, walking, camping, eating, skills-sharing, photography, videography, sport ...
I think it's easier to write what I'm NOT interested in :)
I have lived a free life without a 'job' since 1995, and this has crafted me into a versatile and adaptable person who is generally just happy to be alive and sharing it with others.
I dislike cities, noise, urbanisation, pollution, and systems that encourage unconscious living and a disconnect from Earth and Spirit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think occupying a living, breathing body that maintains itself without any conscious input from my side is pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Creativity, cultural bridging, healing and wellbeing through food, and gardening/farming naturally.
Cooking.
Herbalism with spices.
Painting, design, art, creative projects.
Spirituality and meditation.
Music - singing, playing, dancing
Nature and our place in it.
Exciting natural plant based diet options.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Put us (me and my Sweetheart) in a kitchen or a patch of land to farm/garden and we are in our element.
Ask us to cook, go shopping, grow natural vegetables/herbs; and we are in our element.
We
Would you like to learn the ancient traditions of self healing by using spices?
Could you benefit from having an artist/painter/designer/creator?
Looking for spiritual growth and support?
Children need a tutor or mentor?
Want to learn the guitar? Or how to sing?
Or are you feeling 'stuck' in any aspect of your life, and in search of a breakthrough?
And generally just good, helpful, compassionate, and empathetic company.
