CURRENT MISSION

Living and working as a tour guide in Cambridge normally, but right now on a week long cycling holiday around the Devon and Dorset coast!(with my partner @Izzie Byers) Looking to enjoy the local sites and experiences, and find some nice places and people to stay with along the way!

ABOUT ME

I'm Pip, vegetarian (sometimes though not so much recently an aspiring vegan), I like the outdoors and outdoor education - keen member of national youth groups 'woodcraft folk' and 'forest school camps'. Vaguely lefty. Sometimes happy touring cyclist, but often too lazy and disorganised for such shenanigans. The mutual community / sharing aspect of coushsurfing has a big appeal, as well as the internationalism (though I'm also currently pledged not to fly, so journeys further afield would have to be of slower travelling varieties).
I used to be very concerned about climate change and the environment, and theoretically still am but as said above nowadays I'm mostly too lazy (though hopefully this is changing a bit via my partner Izzie).

PHILOSOPHY

Kind of covered above? Make the most of the lives we have and situations we find ourselves in, and things are usually not black and white / we're all on this planet together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Seems like an excellent way of travelling round in general or to particular places whilst meeting nice people, finding out things you otherwise wouldn't etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with people in bristol, the evening after emailing them, which was excellent and really useful... that's all the official couch-surfing but I've also done 1 official WWOOFing placement.....
