About Me

Hello!

I am travelling together with my girlfriend, Janica, and this is our first time in Japan. We will be staying here for 6 months, most of our time will hopefully be spent snowboarding in Hakuba.

We love exploring new places and getting off the beaten path and finding hidden gems where we can expand our culinary experiences.

We are both friendly, outgoing people who love hanging out and sharing stories or exploring new places together.

Our favourite thing about travelling is the diversity of people and their cultures, and of course, the food! No matter where we go we are never failed to be shocked by the different foods and the kindness of the people. We are not afraid to try weird and interesting things as we like to fully immerse ourselves in whatever country we are in. We would love to learn how to cook Japanese food.

By travelling, we hope to broaden our perspectives on life, share our experiences and continously learn new languages and skills. We hope that when we become old, we will have lived a life full of laughter and not too many regrets. We hope to find like minded and friendly people who love to share their stories and one day become part of ours too. 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couch surfing so that we can meet awesome new people who will hopeful show us an insiders look into their city so that we experience how locals live their everyday life and make a good friend along the way!

Interests

I have a hobby for keeping ants and various insects and observing their behaviours and learn why they are built the way they are and do the things they do.

We love playing video games and board games!

Reading and writing are good creative outlets and a different way to express yourself or to explore different places within your imagination. Through reading you are capable of letting your imagination truly run wild.

Photography is fun as you get to look at the world through a different perspective and take memories for scrapbooks. It's one of our favourite hobbies whilst travelling.

Janica can and will read anything but her favourite genres are crime and detective novels, mythology , horror and drama. I prefer to read non fiction books, mostly about ants or cookbooks.

We love comedy movies the most and we are currently binge watching The Peaky Blinders and Breaking Bad on Netflix.
