Overview
About Me
I live in a cabin I built about 14 miles outside of Fairbanks; with a black and white dog named Figaro. Summers I am busy running a small construction company, and in the winters I tend to have a little more time to travel, and ski, and surf. I always try to have time for dinners and potlucks with friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have travelled a lot, and had many people extend all kinds of hospitality to me. I would like to try to return that kindness. When I was growing up my family was part of a international network of hosts and travellers called Servas. We had a lot of interesting folks stay with us. Alaska is an amazing place and hosting visitors who are excited to be here makes me love my home even more.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a small guest cabin on the same property as my main cabin. It has a loft bed and some basic cooking facilities. (I lived in the little cabin for 7 years). The cabin would be comfortable for one person, or a couple. There is electricity, but no running water on the property. I haul water from town in five gallon jugs. The bathroom is an outhouse. It is close to some nice hiking/biking/skiing trails. It is a better set-up for travellers who have their own transportation, and their own sleeping bags/bedding. If the logistics of staying out here don't work, I would also be glad to try and meet with folks in town and maybe bring them along to a potluck or a afternoon canoe trip on the river.
