My name is Phil, I'm 27 years old, from Palmdale, CA. I currently live in Arizona, where I cook for a taco house called Joyride, as well as a local award winning brewery, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. I love good food and good beer, especially when shared with good people.
I have numerous other interests as well, such as music, which has been a huge part of my life forever. And I could say the same for sports. Football (American), hockey and basketball are my favorites, but I like pretty much all sports. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and is how I hope to make a living some day.
I want to travel the world, experience other cultures, meet new people, and live life to the absolute fullest. I want to do it for myself, for the opportunity to learn all the world has to offer. But I also want to do it to show others that they can too. Too many people don't feel it's possible for them to have these experiences, and I want to show them that it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm starting my travels by spending Winter 2016/2017 backpacking Europe with 2 of my best friends. We chose winter because we want the real experience, not the tourist experience. We want to go where the locals go, and live the cultures firsthand. And we feel couchsurfing is the best way to do that. We want to see places through the eyes of someone who lives there. And in return, we want to give our hosts some insight into our culture, and who we are. Whether that be through cooking for each other, showing each other local music, or just great conversation, I feel those connections and understandings are invaluable, and will last a lifetime.
